Emotional intelligence


I'm kind and compassionate towards myself.

This combination of words I heard it 2 years ago when I had little perks and disagreements in a new position I was promoted to. 

After taking seminars and talks that I certainly didn't give a fuck about because I didn't understand what they were talking about until recently.

Emotional intelligence is the capability of individuals to recognize their own emotions and those of others, discern between different feelings and label them appropriately.

Spoiler:
As a woman with childhood emotional neglect, I suck on this.


But what you can do to improve it, start simple:
Learn to differentiate your emotions, start with the basics, anger, fury, sadness, happiness, joy, etc.

Take your decisions "cold" Clear your mind, don't take decisions out of anger, same as when you decide to speak, calm first (myself included here, bitch learn, thank you)

Be Empathetic is the capacity to understand or feel what another person is experiencing from within their frame of reference, i.e., the capacity to place oneself in another's position.

(This one tho' I have it either white or black)

So, what I'm saying is.
Be kind or try.
We know some people don't deserve it but don't wish them wrong wish them healing, they will need it and give them silence, silence its a silent killer.

And remember change because you want to not because of someone else forces you.
